Admission Requirements

Before you begin the application process, ensure you meet the necessary admission requirements. The general requirement for the 4-year B.Ed program is:

  • WASSCE/SSSCE Applicants: Credit passes (A1-C6 for WASSCE, A-D for SSSCE) in 6 subjects, including 3 core subjects (English Language, Core Mathematics) and 3 elective subjects relevant to your program of study.

  • GCE A-Level Applicants: Passes in 3 subjects (at least 1 Grade D or better) + credit passes in 5 GCE O-Level subjects, including English, Mathematics, Science, and Arts subjects.

  • ABCE Applicants: Passes in 3 subjects (at least 1 Grade D or better) + credit passes in 5 GBCE subjects, including English, Mathematics, Integrated Science/Social Studies.

  • TVET Applicants: Certificate II in 3 relevant trade areas + NABPTEX Certificate II or WASSCE/SSSCE credits in English and Mathematics.

Online Application Process

Follow these steps to complete the online application:

Step 1: Make Payment

You will need to pay an application fee at any Consolidated Bank Ghana (CBG) Limited branch nationwide or via mobile money (Tigo Cash, Vodafone Cash, Airtel Money, MTN Mobile Money) by dialing *924*8#.

Step 2: Receive Application Details

After payment, you'll receive a Personal Identification Number (PIN), an Admission Application Serial Number, and the admission website address (admission.coeportal.edu.gh).

Step 3: Complete Online Application Form

Visit the admission website and use your PIN to access and complete the online application form. Read all instructions carefully, and select your 1st, 2nd, and 3rd choice of Colleges of Education and program. Choose one Ghanaian language offered at your preferred college.

Step 4: Print and Submit Documents

Print a copy of your completed application form and send it along with a passport photograph and copies of your results slips (if available) via EMS priority envelope to the Principal of your first college choice.

Important Notes:

  • Provide accurate contact details, as you'll receive notifications via SMS.
  • Your results will be verified with WAEC. Submitting fake documents will have legal consequences.
  • Note the application deadline.
